You have been running and running and running up a steep slope for hours. Sweat is dripping from your head down to your shoulders. You are no longer thinking about the pain in your body. You only see how one foot moves in front of the other. You are in tunnel vision.
Completely exhausted you finally reach the summit after what seemed like an endless amount of time. The view around you is overwhelming. It seems like you are standing on the roof of the world. All mountains next to you appear smaller. You look down into the surrounding valleys as you suddenly realize how powerful nature is and how small and insignificant you are in this system. You are grateful to have reached the summit healthily on your own and to enjoy this view.
That means adventure. That means freedom.
